FAQ

Common questions.

What is a UAS Program Readiness Assessment?

Drone 1 Consulting's UAS Program Readiness Assessment is an independent, vendor neutral evaluation of whether an organization is prepared to establish, expand, modernize, or operationalize a responsible UAS capability. D1C evaluates ten interconnected readiness domains and provides leadership with an evidence based determination of what can proceed, what requires development, and what could prevent success.

How long does a readiness assessment take?

A typical Comprehensive Assessment takes approximately three to five weeks. Focused assessments may take approximately two to three weeks, while enterprise or multi site engagements may require five to eight weeks or more depending on complexity, access, and scope.

Is the assessment conducted on site or remotely?

Both approaches are possible. Depending on the mission and scope, D1C may combine remote discovery and information review with an on site operational assessment of representative launch and recovery conditions, command environments, infrastructure, connectivity, workflows, and other mission relevant conditions.

Do we need to select a drone or vendor before the assessment?

No. D1C begins with the mission, not the aircraft. The assessment helps determine what capability the organization actually needs before technology selection or vendor commitments drive the program.
